As the principal of St. James School, I am honored to walk into a building where Christ is at the center of what we do, and who we serve. If you are new to the St. James School community, please let us know how you would like to be involved in carrying on the tradition of love and service. If you walk into our school, you are likely to run into a Spartan from the Class of 1982 or 1959. The first person that will greet you with a smile is Mrs. Barry, she has been serving at SJS since 1971.
If you are returning to St. James School, know that Sr. Kathleen is still active at school, and so are many of the wonderful and highly qualified faculty that have dedicated their professional and personal lives to the success of the school. The rich tradition of providing world-class caring and compassionate educational opportunities continues in our classrooms.
Whether you are brand new, or have been at St. James for your entire life, know that when you walk through the doors of the school house: all are welcome, and every child is free to be who they are on that day. Our school is safe. We are training young leaders in the image of Christ, and as such, we will have difficult conversations when they are required, we will pat children on the back when they need it, and we will always strive to speak truth. Our high expectations are accompanied with supports allowing every child to learn, lead, and serve.
