Fun Facts & Background

  1. Teaching background
I've been in the Early Childhood field my entire career. I have a BS degree in Child and Family Studies from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. I taught in a parent cooperative, "Eagle Heights Nursery School", for 13 years, I taught at "First United Methodist Preschool and Kindergarten" for 9 years and joined "St. James School" in 2005.

  2. Why you love St. James
When I walked into St. James as a teacher I had a sense of coming home. The staff are a warm and caring group of people. The families of St.James welcomed me and have become a wonderful extended family. St. James welcomes new students, staff and families with open arms. I appreciate the love and warmth given with those open arms.

  3. Fun Facts
I always have a song or poem swirling around in my head. Some are from childhood; some are from current children artists; and some are from the children in my care. My favorite childhood poem has a family memory attached to it. Its call, "Purple Cow". I never saw a purple cow, I never hope to see one, but I can tell you anyhow, I'd rather see than be one." My family traveled to Jackson Wy when I was three years old. My favorite restaurant to eat at was called the "Purple Cow" The restaurant served grape soda floats called....."Purple Cows" my inner child's memory tells me I drank close to 100 of those floats on that trip. My parents probably only allowed 3 during that 4 day trip. My favorite beverage now is...... black coffee hot or iced.
